SOZO Neuromodulation Therapy Weeks in Switzerland
Only four treatment slots remaining with Sir Petros Kattou & Team
This July, Petros and his international SOZO team are coming to Switzerland for an exclusive Neuromodulation Therapy Week. At present, only two treatment slots remain at each clinic.
- 20th-24th July – SOZO Castle, Rorschacherberg – close to the Austrian border
- 27th-31st July – Swiss Mountain Clinic, Castaneda – in the Italian-speaking region of Ticino
An impressive start for the new SOZO Braincenter Vienna
Two weeks ago, it was our great honour to welcome Sir Petros and his seven-member team, led by Professor Andreas Christopoulos, Consultant Neurosurgeon, to the Braincenter Vienna – as shown in the photograph.
During this intensive five-day visit (Monday to Friday), the team assessed and treated 15 international patients with some of the most challenging neurological disorders.
These included patients with
- Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS)
- Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
- Multiple System Atrophy (MSA)
- Stroke with severe spastic paralysis
- Parkinson’s disease and atypical Parkinsonian syndromes
- other complex neurological disorders
Many of these patients had already undergone years of medical treatment and numerous therapies without achieving satisfactory results.
Encouraging early improvements
What impressed us most were the changes that, in some patients, became visible already during the very first treatment session.
Depending on the individual condition, improvements were observed in areas such as
- Mobility
- Spasticity
- Walking ability
- Fine motor skills
- Speech
- Swallowing
- Balance
- Coordination
Not every patient responds in the same way, and of course no treatment outcomes can ever be guaranteed. Nevertheless, the changes we observed were highly encouraging for our entire medical team.
One of our neighbouring office tenants actually approached me in the corridor because he had seen a patient arriving in a wheelchair and, just a few days later, leaving the clinic on foot. Remarkably, we witnessed this in two different patients during that week.
At the same time, Petros was completely honest with one patient suffering from advanced Multiple Sclerosis, clearly explaining that he would not be able to restore her ability to walk. We believe this illustrates the realistic and responsible approach of the SOZO team. No unrealistic promises are made.
For patients with severe neurological disorders, even relatively small functional improvements can have a profound impact on quality of life.
Modern Neuromodulation
The SOZO method combines several scientifically developed, non-invasive neuromodulation techniques. Its goal is to selectively influence dysfunctional brain networks while supporting the brain’s natural capacity for neuroplasticity, recovery and functional adaptation.
Every treatment programme is individually designed following a comprehensive neurological examination and functional network analysis. The approach is best described as advanced neurorehabilitation. We do not replace conventional medical treatments, but rather offer an additional therapeutic option.
