Raffael – severe brain injury TBI – improvement through neuromodulation

Car accident in 2014 with severe brain injury to the left brain —> improved through neuromodulation

Medical history

I have been treating Raffael since 2017 – after a car accident in 2014 with severe traumatic brain injury, left brain in a coma,

Raffale was completely unresponsive until he came to us,

daily several epileptic seizures, which we were able to reduce to 1-2 seizures per year.

Initially we gave him mainly homeopathic remedies and supplements

But most of the improvement began with Neuromodulation tDCS 2023

Another big leap was the use of methylene blue.

Now at the end of 2024 there was another EPI attack after a very, very long time, so we also started with taVNS. The neurologist we consulted refused to map the brain using EEG because of the wheelchair, but after the mapping we could have applied and corrected the brain stimulation using HD-tDCS.

He is starting to react and communicate minimally, Raffael has started to voluntarily ride the recumbent bike at home (further back in the video), his mother is delighted – because she has been working with him since 2014 as a complete coma patient and is now witnessing the slow but gradual improvement

Raffael has continued to improve, he now rides his bike for up to 30 minutes, the nystagmus has disappeared, he can now often show YES / NO by moving his right or left hand. He can look purposefully at the face with both eyes and also follow people – before the neuromodulation he only had a constant FOCUS GAZE to the top left.

A physiotherapist who hadn’t seen him for a long time was absolutely perplexed.

Dr. Kirk hasn’t seen him for a while either and is just as enthusiastic about his development. She has been with him from the beginning and referred Raffael to us.

Raffael took the train to Innsbruck with his mother. He can now often sit in a normal wheelchair. He is quite stubborn and headstrong, but when he wants to he can hold his head up and stay in contact.

We are now expanding the brain stimulation to include the BROKA and WERNICKE centers in order to allow the brain to grow back.

we will keep you updated!
