Sorry, colleagues, for bombarding you with this annoying neuromodulation again – but what we are experiencing here during the Swiss training was so extraordinary that I simply cannot hold back writing about it.
Prof. Nic Lucas is impressed by the cases
What an honor: Petros’ neurology professor, with whom Petros studied 20 years ago: Prof. Nic Lucas – Univ. Sidney, a famous neuroscience optimizer – is taking part in his former student’s seminar!
Prof. Lucas has 3 masters (including Stanford), a PhD, founded and edited “the” essential international scientific journal for osteopathy and wrote a book about his personal experiences,
Prof. Lucas was delighted with his “student” Petros
When the ALS patient described below was able to stand up and then walk some steps after Petros stimulated his brain with the new neuromodulator, Nic Lucas had tears in his eyes, just like all of us.
now on to the neuromodulation training in Switzerland
in beautiful Rheinfelden on the Rhine – right on the border with Germany – this training with Petros takes place in the great Parkhotel, organized by the holistic doctor Dr. Michael Kübler
new multipolar tDCS device
every time Petros brings something new – this time a new brain stimulator which, according to him, is significantly more effective than anything we have had before.
90% of the scientific studies regarding tDCS are performed with this new device that will soon be available outside research to us SOZO-doctors.
We have had it in our practice since last week but no expierience yet using it.
rather difficult cases for a training course
Dr. Kübler surprises us bringing in pretty advanced and serious neurological cases: 2x ALS, various Paresis, severe Pain, Parkinson cases
Patient with CRPS and Paresis after Brain Hemorrhage
Petros is taking here in the following picture/video the case of a spastically paralyzed patient after 2x brain hemorrhage and 2 x spinal fusion operations (due to a persistent pain in the legs) together with Dr. Michael Kübler:
“what do you expect from this neuromodulation” – Petros asks – she answers: reduce the permanent neuralgic pain in her lower body – so strong that the patient requires morphine (Tramal, Novalgin, Gabapentin) and “she wants to dance again”.
After 30 minutes of brain stimulation with the new device, the patient was able to raise her previously completely paralyzed arm by 30° even walked a short distance with help.
Petros thinks she will probably be able to walk with a walker in about 3 months, but dancing will probably never be possible.
spastic progressive Multiple Sclerosis Patient
progressiv MS with totally stiffed legs + hips, amazing how blocked the limbs where upon initial examination, I could move the knee for less than 5°, hard like a wooden stick.
We did some Neurostimulation with the new device and could hardly believe that after about 30min we could bend the knee fully over 90° by switching off overfirering descending tracks using cerebro-spinal stimulation.
wonderful Parkinson demonstration
we had a beautiful demonstration on the Parkinson Patient stimulating and anti-stimulating affected brain centers: proper stimulation reduced the “sit-down-chair” Test from 4 to 2 seconds, inverse stimulation increased the Test to 14 seconds!
he also demonstrated the “Marching moves” – lift your Leg higher up to overcome “Freeze” of Parkinson
This initiates a movement pattern that does not need to be programmed with dopamine in the midbrain, and the temporary dopamine deficiency that triggers the freeze in the middle of the movement can be overcome.
This is exactly what Norman Doidge wrote about “Joe Peppers Method” – Chapter 2 in the wonderful book
- Explores the advances in the discovery of neuroplasticity, showing that the brain has its own unique way of healing....
our “highlight case of the seminar” was an amyotrophic lateral sclerosis patient
38 years old – i.e. affected very early in life – ALS since 2019 with progression, now in a palliative care unit because completely bedridden, has not walked for 3 months.
The MR has already changed dramatically, numerous “vesicles” as a sign of brain deterioration
Lecture on the background and various forms of amyotrophic and peripheral lateral sclerosis
Petros gave us an extensive lecture on ALS and PLS, upper motor neuron and lower motor neuron and mixed forms – to tell the trueth: I haven’t digested that myself yet, kind of complicated.
When I have fully understood this information, I will make a report out of it.
Patient is neurostimulated according to a new scientifically validated protocol
We pulled the patient upright in his chair, put the new device on and …. then we stood him up – and he was able to walk again for the first time in 3 months, increasingly more confidently and finally even without help.
The video is moving for all of us, several colleagues had tears in their eyes, including Prof. Nic Lucas.
Petros predicts that the patient will be able to move home from the palliativ care unit.
what can you expect in such severe cases from neuromodulation
Petros himself actually doesn’t want to treat more ALS patients than he already has. We are all affected by the severity of this diagnosis.
In ALS, Petros certainly does not expect a cure or even lasting improvement, but rather a stabilization of the condition and a prolongation of the course of the disease.
This is a severe neurodegenerative progressive disease.
60% of them will see certain temporary improvement and a prolongation of the course up to live 6-7 years, 40% do not respond to neurostimulation, also depending on the form of ALS.
Petros best Patient is named “Chris from London”, whome he neuromodulates now for 3 years. Chris was already in the wheelchair. Chris is now walking (slowly and with restrictions) and – newest update – has been started driving a car again since summer this year. I will publish the videos of Chris’s progress soon. Chris will most probably prove to be no ALS but a PLS case that have prolonged course of disease.
Petros sees in Cyprus even children, recently a baby with ALS.
scientifically proven results through double-blind randomized study
published in 2023, with a significant advantage for the verum vs. sham (=placebo) group
Petros uses the tDCS multi-stimulator with which the above study was conducted.
In the long term, most SOZO doctors will have this device in their practice.
If you are affected yourself
Dr. Michael Kübler in Rheinfelden / Switzerland – will probably offer this brain stimulation for such ALS patients.
drawback: the new HD-tDCS has rather high entry costs though
just to tell in advance: for the twice-daily home treatment required in such cases, you ultimately have to buy this medical device yourself as a patient.
as usual: medical device with official approval for patients (approval for the USA, Switzerland and EU) – are “extremely expensive” due to the high requirements and licenses.
With this neuromodulator, the patients home-training device costs 4200.-
For my Sozo colleagues: the doctors device necessary for programming the patient s stimulator costs several times as much!
more training necessary for the new hd-tDCS-Device
In addition, there are the costs of the necessary “training” with this device: at least 8x before it can be handed over.
This training will cost at least 100,- in our practice, and probably several times more in Switzerland – because the prices and labor costs here in Switzerland are several times the amount compared to Austria.
taVNS necessary in bulbar cases or cases where brainstem is also affected
In addition, there is the brainstem stimulator (800-1200 euros depending on the doctor or country) with which you can reduce inflammation in the brain, TNF-a/b/c.
Finally the doctor’s fees for the first appointment. The subsequent training is usually carried out by qualified personnel who carry out brain stimulation in the corresponding neurostimulation practices.
Probably not all SOZO doctors will offer this therapy
due to the expensive equipment (for the doctor), this investment only pays off once a certain patient throughput has been reached. In January I will list the colleagues who get the HD-tDCS stimulator and also offer it to patients on the list of doctors.
Conclusion of this training in Switzerland
In any case, this training in Rheinfelden – CH – was fantastic in terms of outcome. We can certainly attribute this to the new HD-tDCS stimulator.
Petro’s training is also becoming more and more precise and structured
I am already looking forward to the next course in Cyprus in November and in Vienna in October

Addendum
Florian Schöning neuro-stimulates basketball team for the World Championship
Florian Schöning is from central Germany and is perhaps one of the best-trained neuro-modulators, as he completed a 1200-hour course in the USA. Among other things: qualified physiotherapist, chiropractor, osteopath, FMS according to Carrol McMannie instructor, orthomolecular medicine, nutrition coach, HP etc. – a person who is always learning!
Florian tells us that he supported a basketball team with neuromodulation and was able to improve their potential.
This time the team was World Champion for the first time!
