Job Opening for Braincenter in Vienna 1030
We are launching an extraordinary new project in Vienna in May 2026:
This center will be operated 1:1 according to the model of the SOZO-Braincenters in Nicosia and Limassol.
Doctors
Sir Petros Kattou will be present every two months for one week to supervise the Braincenter.
Center leadership will be provided by the neuromodulation-experienced Dr. Runa Rahman-Oshiga.
With Dr. Helmut Retzek, we currently have the most experienced neuromodulation physician outside Cyprus in Vienna, acting as a **specialist for complex cases**.
Medical supervision will be provided by the neuromodulation-experienced neurologist Dr. Christoph Neumüller, specialist physician in Baden near Vienna.
SOZO Neuromodulation
We use tDCS, taVNS, TPS and ESWT to support the treatment of many neurological conditions:
Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, dementia, headaches, dizziness, post-stroke and TIA conditions, disc herniations, chronic pain, learning disorders, autism, restless leg syndrome, tremor disorders, polyneuropathy, epilepsy …
Our treatment approach is innovative and currently represents a very active field of neurological research. Thanks to the SOZO Braincenter in Cyprus, many protocols originating from basic research have been successfully translated into patient treatment for the first time and are continuously published in peer-reviewed journals.
SOZO – FNON
A novel system called FNON (Functional Network-Oriented Neuromodulation) has been developed there. In this approach, different areas of the brain are re-synchronized with each other. This can often lead to noticeable improvements in chronic neurological conditions.
This is not a replacement for conventional medical treatment, but rather an add-on therapy.
For this we need dedicated team members !!!!
In Cyprus and in Vöcklabruck, our diplome-nurses hardly ever want to go home because the job is so meaningful.

We are therefore looking for
- three fulltime-nurses, preferably with neurological or rehabilitation experience. We also would love Psychologists or other health related personal!
- we would love to employ part-time med-students!
- we would love a person with Autism-expierience as part of our Center will be AUTISM support
- one nurse or psychologist with EEG experience to perform EEG recordings under the supervision and guidance of our Austrian and Cypriot specialist physicians
- two administrative staff members – good computer skills and a patient, friendly manner, especially on the phone, are essential
What you should bring
Previous experience is welcome, but for us the most important qualities are enthusiasm and genuine passion for the profession. Everything else can be learned quickly on the job.
Petros best Co-Workers have studied Psychology or Genetics and they love what they do!
We have a flat hierarchy, we are all on a first-name basis, and our goal is to help patients find relief from often very difficult medical conditions.
Gender, religion, background or personal orientation do not matter to us – commitment and enthusiasm are what count.
And yes – good English would be wonderful, since we will likely take over many international patients from Cyprus, where the center is fully booked far in advance.
Additional languages such as Arabic, Chinese, Russian and others are very welcome.
What we offer
We pay approximately 25% above the collective agreement salary.
Career re-entry applicants are very welcome – as long as they are willing to take initiative, recognize tasks independently and assume responsibility.
It is also important to be comfortable using a computer in order to perform the required documentation tasks.
A willingness to learn is essential.
