Case-History

A businessman and CEO of one of the largest luxury 5-star hotel groups had been living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) since 1995.

Despite having access to some of the world’s leading neurologists, hospitals, and disease-modifying therapies across Canada, the USA, and Germany, his disease progressed from Relapsing-Remitting Multiple Sclerosis (RRMS) to Secondary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis (SPMS).

Following COVID-19 vaccination, his condition continued to worsen, although the exact cause of progression cannot be determined from a single case.

By April 2026, when he first attended SOZO Brain Center, he had been wheelchair-bound for four years and suffered from:

• Severe mobility impairment

SOZO FNON Neuromodulation is a new discipline within neurorehabilitation.

Its developer, Sir Petros Kattou, first introduced this approach to the public in 2023. Petros has conducted doctors workshops worldwide, through which he has trained approximately 300 physicians in neuromodulation.

Dr. Helmut Retzek – the first physician trained by Petros in 2023 – has completed a total of 50 training days and has jointly treated more than 250 patients together with Petros.

Dr. Runa Rahman-Oshiga – training in neuromodulation since 2024.

Dr. Christoph Neumüller – Consultant Neurologist – training in neuromodulation since 2024.

Dr. Sigrun Ebmer-Höbarth – Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon – training in neuromodulation since 2024.
